Katrina Mae de Jesus was employee number one when she joined Universal Hotels and Resorts, Inc. (UHRI), the developer of NUSTAR Resort and Casino, in 2017. As the group’s assistant vice president for Business Development and Resort Branding, she brings with her unique perspectives and strategies gained from a career that spans more than a decade.

Her background that has expanded over several industries including information technology, telecommunications, banking, and fast-moving consumer goods, and her experience in leading large corporate teams, make her a perfect fit.

De Jesus earned her bachelor’s degree in Management and master’s degree in Communications Technology from Ateneo de Manila University where she was also a student leader. This dedication to helping others maximize their potential was carried on to her professional life.

Prior to joining UHRI, she was a project and portfolio manager, handling turnkey projects for enterprise accounts. She also built and executed digital transformation projects for these accounts, and worked on the integration and consolidation of assets for a top conglomerate through a unified digital and rewards ecosystem. In addition, she helped launch Grand Imperial, a land-based gaming facility in General Santos, still under UHRI.

Now with NUSTAR, the group’s flagship project, the challenge lies in delivering on the brand’s promise of providing guests with unparalleled lifestyle experiences through its luxury accommodations, shopping, dining, gaming, and entertainment offerings. With her unwavering passion for empowering people and propelling businesses to unprecedented heights, de Jesus takes on this challenge head on.

Never one to rest on her laurels, de Jesus constantly seeks out more avenues for growth of the business in an industry that serves as one of the major drivers of progress not just in the community, but in the country.
